Adam Lee • Lynx
Being back for my sixth year, I am more excited than ever to be back. I am moving away from the pool to help run the Lynx Unit. This year has also been exciting as I am in my fourth year of modern languages honours degree at U.W.O, as well as being a student council executive. I can’t wait to meet all the Lynx campers and pass along my enthusiasm and positive mind-set.

Ali Nagthall • Monkey
Hello everyone. My name is Ali and I will be one of the Monkey Unit Heads this summer. This will be my first year on Head Staff, but I have been at Bayview Glen for the past 15 years as a camper, SIT, counsellor and lead. I am very excited about this summer and I know it’s going to be great and rewarding! I am looking forward to meeting and seeing you all soon!

Brandon Kliman • Outdoor Adventure
This is my sixth summer as a member of the BVG Head Staff team. I was the Lynx Unit Head for three summers, senior camp supervisor and last year helped coordinate BVG Sports Camp. I am very excited to once again be a part of the BVG specialty camps and the Outdoor Adventure Trip. I am currently a Grade 5/6 teacher in the York Region District School Board.

Cadence King • Swim
Having started working at BVG in 2004, I’ve been a counsellor and swim staff, and now I’m excited to join the Head Staff team as a Pool Head! I’m really excited to make this the most spirited summer Bayview Glen has ever seen! I’m currently studying Radio and Televisions Arts at Ryerson University, with hopes of going to grad school in a related field.

Corinne Baruch • Tiger
Hi my name is Corinne and I’m so excited to be one of the tiger Unit Heads this summer. This will be my seventh summer here at Bayview Glen, and my second on tiger site. I am currently in my third year at McGill University and cannot wait for the summer to start. I am looking forward to seeing all of the new and familiar faces at camp! See you all soon, can’t wait!

Daina Kuras • Panda
Hello! I am Daina Kuras. I have been a camper and then a counsellor my entire life. I am joining the BVG family for the second year. Last summer, I worked as a counsellor with Pandas and I’m excited to continue with the Panda Unit as this years Unit Head. Outside of camp, I am in third year at Queen’s University studying French and Linguistics.

Darren Yohan • Programming
Hello! My name is Darren Yohan. I am very excited about being part of the programming team this year at BVG! After three years working at BVG I’ve come up with some great ideas to help make BVG 2008 the best summer camp experience ever! Some ideas include special new Friday programs and our new specialized music programs. I am currently a studying at York University.

David Marshall • Swim
I’m Dave and I’m one of the Pool Heads this summer. This year will be my ninth amazing summer at BVG, and my first year as a member of the Head Staff team. Since my first year as a Tiger camper, I’ve loved our swim programme. The pool is always a great place to cool off and have some fun in the sun! I will be entering my first year of university in September.

Deena Grossman • Munchkinland
Deena is ecstatic to be returning to BVG for her third summer. After starting out her career at BVG as one of the cooking “moms” and then helping to oversee our Munchkinland program last summer, Deena will be the Director of Munchkinland this summer. Deena is the proud mother of two children, both of whom have been BVG campers for several years.

Elsbeth Schokking • BVG Sports/Arts
I am very excited to be returning to Bayview Glen for my sixth summer. I am in my third year of studying psychology and sociology at Queen’s University. I love spending my summers away from books and getting to know the hundreds of amazing campers and staff at BVG. This year, I will be focusing my energy on BVG Sports. I look forward to another year of summer memories!

Frank Nelson • BVG Arts
Frank first attended BVG and school over 30 years ago. Recently, he returned to Bayview Glen where he supervised and programmed for the Tiger Unit’s Fine Arts Program. Frankie added a vibrant approach to the arts through his knowledge and skill as well as his rapport with the campers. Frankie is a trained architect and has continued to work in design, specializing in painting Murals.

Heather Lucas • Hippo
My name is Heather Lucas and 2008 will be my 4th summer at Bayview Glen. My first two summers were spent as a Panda Counsellor, then I was the Lead for Koalas. This summer, I will be the Hippo Co-Unit Head and I couldn’t be more excited! I spend most of my year studying sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University. There is no doubt that this summer will be the best one yet!

Jennifer Kassel • Office
Jennifer Kassel is ecstatic to be back at camp for her fourth summer at Bayview Glen! Jen’s former camp career spans 10 years as a camper and counsellor. Currently in her 14th year of teaching special education, Jen brings a variety and depth of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. She is responsible for customer service, parent drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Jenna Kellner • Hippo
Hi! I’m Jenna and I’m going to be one of the Hippo Unit Heads! After last summer’s amazing experience as Koala Unit Head, I can’t wait to come back for another incredible summer. Over the years I have been a camper and then was fortunate to work as a counsellor. I am currently in my third year at McGill University, however this semester I have been studying in Israel.

Jenna Neu • Sunshine
I am thrilled to return to Bayview Glen for my fourth summer. After being away from camp last summer, I can’t wait to once again be a part of the Sunshine Program. I am currently completing a Masters degree and teaching certification at OISE the University of Toronto. I am very excited to see returning campers and welcome all of the new campers!

Jennifer Green • Transportation
Jenn is excited to return for her seventh summer as a member of BVG’s Head Staff team. This summer she will be overseeing the co-ordination our Transportation Program. Throughout the year, Jenn worked in accounts payable in the BVG Finance Office. While not at camp, Jenn is busy completing her fourth year at York University where she dreams about past summer days!

Jess Spring • Junior Camp
After three years as the Specialty Supervisor and two years as the Panda Unit Head, I am thrilled to be back this summer as the Junior Camp Supervisor. BVG has been a place where I’ve been fortunate enough to learn about myself, grow as a person, form amazing bonds and create unforgettable summer memories. I can’t wait to ensure that your child does the same!

Jon Champagne • BVG Sports/Arts
I am truly looking forward to a fourth summer as part of the Bayview Glen Head Staff team. As a student at Wilfrid Laurier University in the off-season, I can’t wait to work with the many new faces in this year’s lineup. Focusing on programming and “BVG and Beyond”, and unlike the Leafs, this summer will surely bring home the cup. See you all soon.

Jon Mason • Cheetah
Hello to all those BVG families out there! My name is Jonathan, and while I’m not new to camp, this will be my first on the Head Staff team as one of the Cheetah Unit Heads. Currently I attend St. Mike’s in Toronto as a student and President of the Student Government. In the Fall, I will be beginning my undergraduate career at Colgate University in the States.

Laura Kalef • Panda
Hi my name is Laura, and I hope that you are all as excited as I am for the upcoming summer! I have been at Bayview Glen for three years as swim staff and Hippo Lead, and I’m excited to change it up as one of the Panda Unit Heads this summer! During the year, you can find me at McGill University, where I study sciences. I can’t wait to see you all at camp! Keep smiling!

Lisa Oates • Office
Lisa “Li” Oates is returning for her seventh summer at camp and will be running our summer office for the third year. She is a busy, and talented, Special Education teacher during the year with Toronto District School Board. Li looks forward to picking up where she left off last August and cannot wait for the summer to begin. She can’t wait to see you all soon.

Maeve Mungovan • Monkey
Hi everyone! My name is Maeve and I will be one of the Monkey Unit Heads this summer. As a former Sunshine Counsellor and Head of Programing, I hope to bring a broad range of experience to this position. I am currently completing my second year of an Environmental Science Honours Degree at Queen’s University. I cannot wait for the summer months and to see you all soon.

Michelle Baron • Koala
Hi everyone! My name is Michelle and I am excited to be a part of the 2008 Head Staff team. Last year was my first summer at BVG and I had such a great time and created so many great memories that I am thrilled to be returning as the Koala Unit Head. I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Queen’s University and am counting down the days until summer.

Nicole Rozenberg • Jaguar
Summer 2008 is going to be a blast! As a returning staff member, I am itching with excitement to begin this summer with the Jaguar Unit. For the past five years, I have been completing my Bachelor of Education at McGill University and spending my summers as a counsellor. I love working with children and am looking forward to spending the summer with your child.

Rebecca Enchin • Cheetah
Summer 2008 will mark my fourth summer at Bayview Glen and I am so excited for it to begin! This will be my second summer working in Senior Camp in the amazing Cheetah Unit. I am thrilled to be one of two Cheetah Unit Heads. Currently I am completing my third year of a four year undergraduate program at Queen’s University. Can’t wait to see you all soon!

Hi my name is Sara Winberg. This is my first year working as a Head Staff member. This summer I will be working in programming. I am really excited for the summer fun to begin. During the school year I attend Laurentian University in the Concurrent Education Programme. This summer I will use the skills I have learned to make sure our campers have a great summer experience.

Sean Valentine • Swim
The only good part of camp ending last year is I get to start counting down the days until 2008! My name is Sean and I am the Co-Swim Director this summer. I have been a Pool Head for the past two years and have been at camp for three summers! I am a third year Law and Society major at York University. Looking forward to a safe, active and especially wet summer!

Shaun Pearl • Swim
Hi everyone! My name is Shaun, and I will be one of the Co-Directors of Swim this summer. For just about every summer, I have been going to overnight camp in Nova Scotia, and was the waterfront director for two summers. I have been working for the city of Vaughan for the past nine years as a lifeguard and supervisor, and I have recently graduated from Ryerson University.

Stephen Neu • Tiger
My name is Steve and I will be one of the Tiger Unit Heads along with Corinne (we make an amazing team). This is my fourth year at Bayview Glen and my second year as the Tiger Unit Head. I am currently in my second year at Queen’s University studying Biology. I am already very excited for the summer to begin... It’s going to be one of the best ones yet! See you all soon!

Tina Tammsalu • Sunshine
My name is Tina and over the past three summers I have been a part of the BVG Sunshine Program and am looking forward to building onto my unforgettable memories at BVG as a member of the 2008 Head Staff team. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education and can’t wait to contribute my skills to ensure that all of BVG’s Sunshine campers have the best possible summer!

Yossi Izraelski • Lynx
I am very excited to be returning to Bayview Glen for my eighth summer! After spending the last seven summers at the pool, I will be switching gears, and taking on the role of a Lynx Unit Head. Along with Adam Lee, my Co-Unit Head and long time partner at the pool, we are looking to implement some creative and fun ideas! I am anxiously counting the days until camp starts!
